Developing Others Through Coaching

Great leaders are people who have the ability to see strengths and weaknesses in employees and provide encouragement to change behaviors in order to enhance performance. Building on the communication abilities developed, coaching for results presents the skills that enable leaders to connect with employees, observe behaviors, assess against established standards, clarify performance gaps, and work together to define how employees can close identified gaps.

Learning Outcomes

Participants return to work the next day with the ability, tools, and confidence to:

  • Conduct effective talent dialogues with their employees and provide employees with fact, focused feedback
  • Capitalize on performer’s strengths when deciding on the way forward for performance development and learning
  • Develop the performer’s ability to make decisions, address key concerns, and develop himself/herself
