Making Change Stick

Leading and accompanying people in change processes is a key success factor for companies. In profound change processes, analyzing and taking the interests of the stakeholders into account is essential. Most important is the foundation of an effective communications strategy.

TOPSIM® – People Management simulates the initial months of a change process in a virtual company department. Learners will act as change consultants advising the newly appointed managers on how to manage the change. Their goal is to inform and motivate the employees as well as to guide them to a level of self-commitment which enables them to improve their performance and anchor the change sustainably.

Learning Outcomes

Participants return to work the next day with the ability, tools, and confidence to:

  • Plan properly for change and consider possible obstacles that might hinder the planned change
  • Manage people during change as well as handle the different types of employee and cross‐functional resistance to change
  • Ensure people’s commitment and accountability during the change
  • Detect when a change initiative is failing and to formulate a contingency course of action
